Its been more than a week before I’ve noticed that my driver’s license is already expired. Actually, the same thing happened to me the last time I’ve renewed it. Signs of Alzheimer’s lol!
This would be my first time to renew at an LTO-DLRC (Drivers License Renewal Center). I’ve chosed the one that’s near my place, at Robinsons Metro East, Marcos Hiway Pasig City. Located besides the big grocery section, the DLRC office has around 10 employees and 30 seating capacities for waiting applicants. Although there’s no area rugs for elegant ambiance, it has air-conditioning that makes it much more comfy compare to their traditional offices with fans only.
Got there at around 10:05am ,basically the process are:
1. Go to window 1 and present your expired license
2. A form will be given to you. Fill-out the form
3. Pay the medical and drug test fees (P100 Medical + P300 Drug Test)
4. Take the medical and drug test
5. Submit back the form, medical/drug test certificate back to window 1
6. Next is at window 6 for capturing your photo and signature
7. Then pay the License Fee at window 5
a. License Fee – P350
b. Penalty – P75 (pag lumampas kayo sa expiration date)
c. Comp Fee – P57.63
Total P492.63
+P400.00 (Med/DT)
Grand Total P892.63 (at least bring P1000 bucks for sure)
Got hold of my spanking Drivers License at around 11:30am, one hour and a half, not bad at all, just in time to have lunch and some window shopping inside the mall.
Just a tip. DLRC Robinsons Metro East opens at 9am, you just have to enter at the side entrance of the mall. And don’t forget to bring a ballpen. (Me ballpen dun pero its P10 bucks, pang yosi din hehe).

Aha! Robinson’s Metro East is also quite near me and my license set to expire in a couple of months…
:):)
So I just want to say “Thank you” for all this tip.
I will bring my own ballpen!
