Final Fantasy: Dissidia Duodecim

A new and improved Final Fantasy: Dissidia is about to come…

Gamers around the world will surely wait for the release of this new Final Fantasy franchise titled “Dissidia Duodecim”, we’re not talking about skin care product reviews here, but who knows, my lady wants both hehe. But then again this is a Final Fantasy franchise! This will be released in 2011 that can be played in PlayStation Portable. The game was announced in Vol. 41 of the Japanese manga Weekly Shonen Jump. Final Fantasy: Dissidia Duodecim is a follow up of Final Fantasy : Dissidia so you could expect the game play to be similar.

Although the game play is still under wraps, one of the publicized feature is the Assist System that allows players to call allies out onto the battlefield and temporarily issues commands to them, allowing up to four characters on screen simultaneously. The game also has the original title maps and new summons are also introduced. The game will also have the entire cast of Dissidia and will get a third costume and are expected to have new and tweaked abilities, plus three new characters, Kain Highwind, Cecil’s friend and rival from Final Fantasy IV; Tifa Lockhart, childhood friend of Cloud and the main female protagonist of Final Fantasy VII; and Lightning, a female soldier and the protagonist of Final Fantasy XIII. Kain is described as a specialist in high-speed aerial combat, while Lightning makes use of Final Fantasy XIII’s’ Paradigm Shift feature in battle, allowing her to switch between the Commando, Ravager, and Medic roles using the PSP’s shoulder buttons. With this new features Final Fantasy: Dissidia Duodecim will really put a mark in the Final Fantasy Franchise.
