Four days have passed from the Canon PhotoMarathon 2010 and my forefinger’s still numb due to one whole day of clicking the shutter of my Canon A710is haha! Of course I’m a bit exaggerated haha! But my body really aches a lot the morning after, specially my legs. T’was indeed a marathon. I’m used to 3 to 4 hours of photowalk, but this one was different! Maybe because I don’t have enough sleep when I rushed to SMX MOA in Pasay City. I’m so excited and I don’t wanna missed the registration!
Together with 4 fellow indians (Marsman, Edwinn, JAckie and Althea) of “PnSers Camera Club”, we met that morning at SMX. Once inside the venue, we were welcome by the pulsating sounds of bongo’s and maraca’s from carribean outfitted boys, they actually made the atmosphere much more invigorating! At first I thought we were on the wrong venue as it looks more like a “love-a-palooza” thing, as all of the people inside were wearing RED SHIRTS AND CAPS haha! It’s like valentines day!
Canon Philipines really pampered each of the 1000 participant by giving away lots of freebies. (T-shirt, cap, magazines, promotional items, and the best of all – the Canon EF Lens Collector Cup). Coffee is bottomless too, courtesy of Great Taste, nice lunch, and a sumptous dinner (coz I got hold of 2 dinner stubs haha!)
Me and the PnSers Team really have a blast during the contest proper. We literally walked all over the MOA vicinity (inside and out), we also took a cab once and shoot at a nearby park. The 3 contest theme wasn’t easy as it came like a riddle. Its just how a photographer would compose and interpret it on their entry photo. Winners for the DSLR category were announced during the evening program, whilst for the Point n Shoot they’ll gonna post it on their Facebook fan page on the 19th of November. I can’t wait!!! Hopefully one of us PnSers win!
This is the 5th year that Canon is holding this PhotoMarathon Event, and we’re all definitely sure that we would be attending and joining their 6th hehe!
