If you are one of those guys and gals who are always internet savvy then I’m sure you’ve come across the news about the FBI shutting down some temporary servers which could in turn cause a massive internet blackout. But before you start panicking about not being able to update your facebook status or tweet about that big steak you had for dinner, let it be known that not everyone will be affected so some of you can still sit back, relax and smoke some cao cigars while peacefully enjoying your sufing time.

Mostly likely only those who are still infected with the said malware will experience interruptions. The FBI itself, along with other entities like McAfee and Facebook, provided webpages on how users can check if they have been infected with the said virus. This is part of temporary solution for an FBI operation last year involving some internet hacking scam using malicious software which redirects internet searches by infected users to DNS servers used by scammers. The interruption is said to last until the DNS settings are fixed or goes back to normal.
