T’was another long weekend because of Eid’l Fitr. As I got no plans ahead, I started washing my clothes a day earlier. (Satuday is my wash day)Then I got a call from my crew John, inviting me for a weekend in Baler. Sabi nya “bro mag ready ka, 12pm alis tayo” which I replied “Shoot!”.
My friend John thought it was an easy 5-6 hour drive base from his recent trip to Dingalan. Rosa Tarlac that we have to make a huge U-Turn at Victoria, Tarlac para lang malampasan namin yung tulay hayahay kalayo abah!!
Then along Palayan City. Nueva Ecija mejo lumakas pa yung ulan kaya mas lalo kami bumagal ng takbo sa zigzag. Stopover kami for dinner sa me Pantabangan-Canili-Basal-Baler Road at around 11 pm na nun, then takbo ulit. Sumuko din si John mag drive and decided to gave the wheel to me, nasa Maria Aurora na kami that time. We finally reached our destination near Ermita Hill at 3:00 am wapakkk!!! Adventure to the maxxx! Sleep agad-agad!
Our place was so cool! Imagine around 5 meters lang at dagat na! Nasa gitna kami ng Cemento Beach at Sabang Beach, two popular places in Baler! As you can see on the photo below. Nag trip nga akong lakarin hanggang sa dulo hehe.
Saturday was so humid, malagkit sa katawan, good thing Rex (a Baler local) suggested we go for a swim at a nearby stream. Wow, the place was so serene, the running water and the chirping of the birds lang maririnig mo. We wasted no time at nag dipped agad-agad sa cool water nito! Fresh na fresh agad ang feeling. I also did some skinny dipping para naman mai-lublob ko si GoPro ko hehe. After that I did some rock balancing too! Naka 2 sets ako, one was medium size rocks which I successfully balance five, Tapos nag try ako ng large size, naka five din ako, kaso ng kukunan ko na ng video, natumba sya haha!
Sunday lunchtime was our scheduled return trip, so umaga pa lang busy na kami with fishing activity, we went out on a banca and went as far as 4 kilometers out at sea, fronting Disguisit Beach. Unfortunately, the fish out there seems to have a sumptuos breakfast, our trolling at pagkakawil hasn’t catch any! Ayun suka to the max kahit walang maisuka haha! Our bangkero just decided to brought as at a nearby fishcage kung saan walang alon, at madami daw isda sa tabi nito. Well, we stayed there for a while, eat our baon snacks and throw our baits.
We went home not catching any fish, I joke nga na daan kami sa market to buy na lang para me mapakita kaming huli namin, but dun pa lang sa pampang sinundo na pala kami ng some of our companions kaya buking agad haha!
We went near Costa Pacifica for our lunch, then sneaked in afterwards nearby sa Press Start Cafe and Surf Spa which was owned and operated by John’s wife cousin is the hunk Alex Resurreccion. The place was simple and awesome. It serves assorted coffee and pizza’s too! Meron pa siyang spa na bonggang-bongga naman talaga, sayang lang no more spare time to utilize it kase pauwi na kami 🙁
3:00 pm when we decided to hit the road. I took the wheel before Cabanatuan. Since we know about the wipeout bridge in La Paz Sta. Rosa, Tarlac. I took the Bulacan route. 😀
