Hayyy sa wakassss! After all those location shooting and numerous hours of editing (as if i’m a pro, hehe). I’ve finally finished my video entry for the “Buhay Coke Video Blog Contest” sponsored by Coke (of course) and SM Hypermarket.

I was super duper excited to make an entry the first time I heard the announcement about the contest last June 27, 2008 at the Buhay Coke Bloggers Party at Taste Asia. But days have passed and still nothing entered my mind. Then just recently, during my sleep, the concept for the video just popped-out in my mind. I immediately woke up and jot it down before it went pffff

The idea is quite simple. Since I don’t have the looks of a commercial model i’ll just let my hand do the talking. I just hope this entry of mine make it to the finals and hopefully win! After all I do love Coke Zero! Its sugar-free! And it taste just like the real Coca-Cola which is my fav drink ever since.

There are around 950 bancas plying the river of Pagsanjan on a schedule basis. And for every banca there are two bankeros that drives and maneuvers it through the rapids. So that’s roughly around 1900 bangkeros that are working and serving local and foreign tourist throughout the river of Pagsanjan. The more than seven kilometer ride all the way to the falls are difficult for a newbie or an unexperienced bangkero, they have to counter the flow of the raging waters. The bangkeros has to skillfully conquer 16 rapids all in all. continue here

Yes! I was able to watch Iron Man - 2008 movie yesterday, I remember the last time I’ve watched was Spiderman 3. Well after more than two hours watching it (that long) I could say it was one movie I could never forget. First the casting was great. Iron Man portrayed by Robert Downey Jr. is splendid,  Gwyneth Paltrow  as his personal assistant looks very natural and the con man Jeff Bridges was perfect for the role (specially with his bald look).

Even my kid Sean Kirk (who’s only four year old) enjoys the movie a lot. The movie has a lot to offer. All the high-tech scenes was an eye candy to all the tech savvy people, (I like the part that robots were assisting Robert in wearing his Iron Man suite, and the part that he shoots the tank and walk away, nice explosion!) it has a lot of funny scenes too (specially with the robots), some drama, suspense and of course a lot of action.

Not to mention the moral lesson you’ll get from the story. Its admitting your mistakes and correcting it even if you have to sacrifice a big portion of your life. (in this case his multi-million business) Although Tony Stark is not the humble type of superhero, (because he admits he is Iron Man) I like the way he delivers it. Its justifiably natural for a changed man to be proud to what he is right now. Isn’t it Mr. Downey?

Kudos to Marvel Comics  and Paramount Picture
Director Jon Favreau  - for making such an entertaining movie like Iron Man. A sequel is very much welcome.
