MOP the Philippines

Milenyo – Ondoy  – Pedring or MOP

Looks like the Philippine has lots of dirt that somehow it need some mopping.

Sept 29, 2011- And the Philippines had just survived another storm. I just heard this observation from one of my officemates and I was really astonished at how it rang true. “With the Bagyong Milenyo came strong winds, Ondoy came with strong rains but the most recent of all- Bagyong Pedring came with both strong winds and rain.”

Notice how our typhoons are evolving to become more destructive each time? And recovery from such is just not as easy as buying affordable life insurance online. It takes months and even years to recover from such, and this is not just in terms of material things but also the traumatic experience for the people who are greatly affected. I don’t know if this could be attributed to global warming, faith or science, but what I do know is that we just hope that everything will turn out to be the best.

Coffin like room

coffin like room

Can you ever imagine yourself living in such a tiny space and calling it your home? Apparently some people do, and it is even becoming a trend in japan that they rent out rooms the size which is slightly bigger than a large coffin but complete with air-con and TV sets and light controls. I guess when you have no choice when it comes to short term and cheap accommodations, the best thing to do is to maximize the space available. Use beds which can double as sofa for when you have guests, install Howard computer cabinets and hidden ironing boards. Do some research on the net to find ways on how to maximize your area and yet still make the place looking and feeling like home sweet home.

Anyway, just accommodate your visitors outside if you don’t want to feel like sardines

More important matters

Between news about Hayden Kho, Jr. losing the right to perform any cosmetic Surgeon Jobs and Katrina Halili’s character being killed in a noontime soap opera, I believe people have more important matters to attend to rather than being involved in this seemingly appearing battle of who has the most allies in the world of showbiz.

With wars in Libya, tsunami in Japan, Haiti earthquake, sinkhole in China and the slowly submerging of Antartica, who in the world has time to worry about other totally unrelated people? Just my thought.
