Another talented Filipino to be proud of is Mr. Benj Arriola. He just recently won the Worlds Most Prestigious SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Contest organized by GetUpdated. (one of the leading SEO companies in Sweden). The contest starts last January 15th, 2007 and ended May 1st, 2007. And from the official results of the contest, he got the top position out of 98 official entries, second place goes to Sweden and third comes from India. From which Benj won a spanking brand new Citroen C2 car. (very timely coz he was having problems with his Paseo)

The main challenge of the contest is for a website to rank as high as possible on the organic search engine results on all 3 search engines (Google, Yahoo and MSN). And from there contest officials will determine the winner based on an average ranking between the selected search engines.

Why bmx boy? Because Benj was my riding buddy years ago, we usually hang-out in front of RadWorld (our shop) doing some flatland tricks, he was also my upline, godfather of Sean, and my very patient mentor online. He was the one that introduced me into blogging and I am enjoying every minute of it. As a proof, my blog just turned 1 year old last May 1, 2007

After the sensational news of  South Korean Cho Seung-Hui (Va.Tech incident).  I found another sensational Korean guy just like his age, but with a different story. This time his countrymen is definitely very proud of him.

His name is Lim Jeong-Hyun, 23 year-old guitarist, more popularly known online as “FunTwo” and became very famous for his cover of JerryC’s Canon Rock. His YouTube video was so popular and was tagged as the #1 Top Favorites (All Time), according to CNN it has reached 7.5 million views already.

I really like watching his video, the music and the way he played the guitar somehow gave me goosebumps, in fact I’ve watched it for 5 consecutive times! The video is quite simple, yet fun to (yeah FunTwo) view, it sounds like a soundtrack from an anime movie.

Let’s not forget to give credits to the composer Johann Pachelbel and JerryC the arranger. (who had his own YouTube version). You guys are very talented! And also to “guitar90” the guy who uploaded the video to youtube. Playing the guitar was one of my frustrations in life. huhuhu

I really admired and respect Korean talents, in fact I was a Seo Taiji Boys fan too (korean rap group).  I was in Korea (won’t mention the year, lol) when their song “Nan Arayo” hit the chart worldwide.  And Korean music genre was never the same again.

One year at last! Yipee! I thought from the very start that having my own website would be a very tedious task for me. But it proves something else. The one year experience is very fruitful. I’ve learned so many nice and crazy things in this techie world, met fellow bloggers from around the world, input some fresh ideas on my idle mind, and of course earn from it. lol

Google PR4 sometimes PR3 wahhhh

I’ve checked it last night and its fluctuating, dunno if there’s a problem with the site prchecker.info but with checkpagerank i got a consistent PR4 ranking, yessssss!

Thanks to all you who have visited websaytko, the spiders, crawlers, spammers, my family, friends, officemates, those I’ve tricked in coming here, lol, those who clicked my ads thank you very much, hehehe. Thanks also to Martin Mihalev, I’ve been using his Greening V1.01 eversince, and until now I have no plans of changing it, (unless I find a new one, lol).
