Having a motorcycle nowadays is more of a necesity rather than luxury. The main purpose of why we(me and my partner) acquired a Mio Sporty is for our daily convey to and fro our home and office. And the other trips are considered a bonus. Just imagine were shelling out P150 everyday if we commute via jeepney and tricycle going to our work, when it only cost us around P160 – P180 for a full tank that’s more than enough for the whole week on our Yamaha Mio sporty. Very economical isn’t it?
During the first hundreds, I’ve computed the Mio Sporty to consumed around 33-35 kms per liter. Now after reaching 500kms on the odometer, its now 39-40 per liter. If only we can include on our budget some weight loss product or sweat it out on some gym, maybe the ratio will still go up haha. We’re a little bit overweight right now. Good thing we still haven’t reach the maximum load capacity boink!
By the way the maximum load to a Yamaha Mio Sporty is 168kg (total weight of rider, passenger, cargo and accessories)

Miah’s odomometer reading finally reaches the 500km mark yesterday, after breaking-in her (soft 40-60Kph ride daily)for the past few weeks. Eagerness to know her real performance made me decide to gave Miah some taste of a hard break-in (uphill, downhill and full throttle). And its quite timely that Click_Me of MCP Forum had organized a fun ride to Marilaque to which I joined agad-agad hehe.
At the meeting place at Shell Marcos Highway I’ve met Henri, Jake Swann, LexDman, BulacanX1, Jake from Baliwag, Don Pangan and of course Click_Me. There are lots of bikers actually (from different groups) when I got there (more or less a 100). Good thing I’ve seen click_me photo’s on the internet before, it made it easier for me to find him among others.
And then were off. During the first phase of our ride. I admit I was a bit dissapointed with Miah’s performance. “Lagi akong kulelat, as in hindi ako makasabay sa phasing“. Maybe I need more weight loss pills or maybe I still hasn’t woke up Miah’s oil that morning hehe.
Then another stopover at the Garden Cottages view deck. The group
relax for a while, konting kodakan, stretching, at viewing the beautiful scenery. Then I saw a girl with a familiar face jogging infront of us. “She’s one of those pinays who conquered Mt.Everest” I exclaimed!. I’m talking about Carina Dayondon, who’s doing some endurance training that day at Marilaque. The riders got excited and began swarming on her as we all posed for some picture taking haha. Afterwards, we thanked and wish her goodluck to whatever her next challenge would be.
Engines roared again as our group headed to Pranjetto to have something for our growling tummy. I think that time I have awakened Miah! Her throttle becomes more responsive, even on high speed. I was hitting the curves at around 70 – 80kph, it even reaches 100kph on the straights! Wow! i’m overwhelmed at what becomes of Miah’s performance that I can’t helped but grin all throughout the ride.

My old and scratchy Zeus 506W helmet came to my attention. Since I’ve got nothing to do (again lol) that afternoon, maybe I’ll just pimp it. The original design of it was matte black but now it looks like (and smells like) ditch black hehe.
I washed and dried it, rubbed sandpaper on it until it smoothen out, then sprayed it with a flat black paint. Then by chance, I saw this glitters on my cabinet (blue, silver, red and gold). What if? Haha yeah right! Make my helmet a bling-bling! I then mixed all the glitters and sprinkled it on the top of the air vent (t’was detached from the helmet by the way) then finishing it off by spraying it with a clear acrylic paint on top. Tada! I now own a Zeus 506BB hohoho!
Now my helmet stands out from the ordinary, arghhh! Not only for the road but for disco as well, haha! My friend said “What would you think next?” Maybe I’ll install a Grohe faucets on my lid next time.
