With the vast amount of data content of blogsites nowadays. Hosting company needs to do a memory upgrade to their servers to compensate the bandwidths for an amazing story like this. hehe.
And their journey continues…
Jake had a flat tire! Me and Herc stopped to help him out as Tito and Stampede were already ahead of us. This was at around 1 AM. As we worked hard on getting the rear wheel of Jake’s bike, Herc went off to look for a close by vulcanizing shop. As soon as we got the wheel of the bike, Herc has just returned and told us that there was a shop about 20 seconds away from where we were. What a relief! We gave the wheel and the spare interior to Herc and he sped off to get the wheel repaired. While waiting, we were calculating the time we lost from the traffic and the incident. We told ourselves that we need to push since the lost time only made it harder for us. The moment Herc returned, we immediately began working on getting the wheel installed. All three of us helped and got the wheel back on in less than 10 minutes. We saddled up and raced away. (more…)

Just last week, at around midnight. As we’re all in the coziness of our bed and sleeping tight. Five gallant riders were out on the streets galloping into the night. As they all decided to do what others might think as undoable or insane. And that is riding all the way the Northern Loop in 24 hours!
It means riding and covering a number of provinces, starting from Bulacan and all the way to Ilocos Norte, then going back to Pampanga! Which is more than a thousand “butt torturing” kilometers!
Never ending highways, dizzying twisties, eerie darkness, and crater-like roads are some of their faithful companions all throughout their journey. Im sure a thanksgiving dinner is all their wish for after this ardous adventure.
We hope that our adventure will influence others to embark on this sort of endurance riding…
This is indeed an experience for the iron butts…
We have proven something that a lot of people were so skeptical about and said was not even humanly possible on small displacement bikes and scooters.

Their Story: As narrated by Click_Me
This was one of the most exciting days of my riding career. I just woke up at around 9:15 PM and was rushing to get ready to head out to meet the people who will be riding with me around the northern part of Luzon. I was stumbling all over as I try to carry all my stuff to the bike. A few minutes after I have attached my bag and loaded my stuff, I went back inside to take a bath. After a long cold shower to wake me up, I got dressed and got my helmet. I looked up in the sky right before I mounted my bike and told myself, “this is a fine night to go out and ride”. (more…)

I can still recall the usual advice of our oldies not to drink water when we’re eating because we’ll get a full stomach easily. And one can’t find any drinking water on the dinner table unless everyone has finished eating.
Children that grew up to that kind of situation consciously mistaken hunger from thirst. We often reach for food when water will/can supplement our tummy’s urge that moment. Results? We gain weight!
But now its the other way around. I drink at least one glass of water before every meal, eat less rice, and desperately trying to avoid fatty foods!
This video is my entry to the NESVITA Pro-Weight Management - Weight and See Contest – Please support it!
Some Water Facts
Water (tubig in Tagalog) and life are inseparable. No known living thing can function without water! Remember you can live for two months without food, but you can only survive a few days without water. That’s how important water is to our body.
Why you should drink more water?
The body needs water to function. Many parts of the body contain water, including the brain, blood and lean muscle. Water in the body serves to:
regulate body temperature
remove wastes (through urine and stool)
carry nutrients (food) and oxygen to cells
cushion joints and
dissolve nutrients to make them available to the body
The best source for water is plain, pure water. Juices and sodas have a lot of sugar in them and aren’t a good source, so if you drink them, they don’t count towards your daily amount. Diet sodas aren’t a good choice either. Herbal teas that aren’t diuretic are fine. Sports drinks contain electrolytes and may be beneficial, just look out for added sugar and calories that you don’t need.
It may be difficult to drink enough water on a busy day. Be sure you have water handy at all times by keeping a bottle for water with you when you are working, traveling, or exercising. If you get bored with plain water, add a bit of lemon or lime for a touch of flavor. There are some brands of flavored water available, but some of them have sugar or artificial sweeteners which you don’t need.
A good estimate is to take your body weight in pounds and divide that number in half. That gives you the number of ounces of water per day that you need to drink. For example, if you weigh 160 pounds, you should drink at least 80 ounces of water per day. If you exercise you should drink another eight ounce glass of water for every 20 minutes you are active. If you drink alcohol, you should drink at least an equal amount of water. When you are traveling on an airplane, it is good to drink eight ounces of water for every hour you are on board the plane. If you live in an arid climate, you should add another two servings per day. As you can see, your daily need for water can add up to quite a lot.
