Yamaha Fiesta 2009 Astig!

Yamaha Philippines gave justice to the word “Fiesta” at their recent bonggacious event the Yamaha Fiesta 2009!  Dedicated to all Yamaha motorcycle owners and biker enthusiasts like me! The fun-filled activity happened at the San Miguel by the Bay in SM Mall of Asia for almost a week.

Yamaha does it best! Just like what a Fiesta should be. Lots of games (roulette, shoot that ball, Bamboo look-a-like, etc..), test rides of their new models(bikes not girls lol), contests (Mio Customization and Best Paint Works), concerts (Mocha Girls, Bamboo, Paraluman and Sandwich), awesome stunt shows (by the Norito Brothers), fireworks display at night (Dragon Fireworks), and of course fiesta would not be complete without the food. All a biker has do is to choose from any of the five well-known food concessionaire at the SM Food Court, “parang handaan talaga na namimili ka ng menu mo, cool di ba?”. A rider who came from the province joke and said “Kulang na lang is for Yamaha to include an overnight stay at any luxury hotel rooms nearby for us, haha!”

The only thing it lacks is/are a patron saint, the Norito’s can fill this in maybe haha! There’s even a procession look-alike as hundreds of bikers line-up while traffic policemen goes wacky designating a place for them to park. And lastly, Yamaha does not forget the Filipino style of pabaon or pabitbit (schwag), as they gave away thousands of jackets! Congratulations Yamaha Philippines (YMPI) for a very successful and memorable fiesta! Astig talaga ang Yamaha!

Drivers License Renewal at LTO – DLRC

Posted by raredog in Two Wheels etc.., A.... | 04.06.2009 - 8:17 am

Its been more than a week before I’ve noticed that my driver’s license is already expired. Actually, the same thing happened to me the last time I’ve renewed it. Signs of Alzheimer’s lol!

This would be my first time to renew at an LTO-DLRC (Drivers License Renewal Center). I’ve chosed the one that’s near my place, at Robinsons Metro East, Marcos Hiway Pasig City. Located besides the big grocery section, the DLRC office has around 10 employees and 30 seating capacities for waiting applicants. Although there’s no area rugs for elegant ambiance, it has air-conditioning that makes it much more comfy compare to their traditional offices with fans only.

Got there at around 10:05am ,basically the process are:

1. Go to window 1 and present your expired license
2. A form will be given to you. Fill-out the form
3. Pay the medical and drug test fees (P100 Medical + P300 Drug Test)
4. Take the medical and drug test
5. Submit back the form, medical/drug test certificate back to window 1
6. Next is at window 6 for capturing your photo and signature
7. Then pay the License Fee at window 5
a. License Fee – P350
b. Penalty – P75 (pag lumampas kayo sa expiration date)
c. Comp Fee – P57.63
Total P492.63
+P400.00 (Med/DT)
Grand Total P892.63 (at least bring P1000 bucks for sure)

Got hold of my spanking Drivers License at around 11:30am, one hour and a half, not bad at all, just in time to have lunch and some window shopping inside the mall.

Just a tip. DLRC Robinsons Metro East opens at 9am, you just have to enter at the side entrance of the mall. And don’t forget to bring a ballpen. (Me ballpen dun pero its P10 bucks, pang yosi din hehe).

Wet and Wild

There’s a new vigorous way to frolic at the swimming pool! Its by having a rave party right there. Yes! This is what I’ve encountered lately as we go on an overnight swimming at this cool resort in Antipolo. The air-condition room we rented which cost us P2K is reasonable enough. It has 3 beds and a bathroom with a bathtub. The bathroom faucets has hot and cold water options too.

Let’s go back to the party. I was curious to where those yelling are coming from, so I looked around and gazed at the awesome disco the resort owner has placed right at the pool. Waterproof sounds and lights system are positioned on the belly of a giant turtle, just above the wet n wild crowd. Trance music and laser lights attracts the ravers to mingle and to jingle haha!

You can check it out at Bosay Resort in Antipolo, Rizal
