My aging lappie

Time flies fast! Next thing I knew is that my laptop (Averatec Buddy) would turn two years old next month. It really serves me well throughout the years and it doesn’t give me any headaches at all, plus it does its job well! That’s why I’m not considering looking for a replacement sooner.

With all the current “price tempting” laptops displayed at the malls, I’ll still continue using my lappie and just save my moolahs for other stuff. A tablet maybe.

Meet Ozzy

Posted by raredog in Techie Stuff, Raredo... | 09.17.2011 - 7:49 am

Ozzy is now my new travelling companion to my daily work and my (from time to time) adventure ride. He’s the replacement to my sweet and gentle Miah, a Yamaha Mio Sporty who was bikenapped last month.

Even though Ozzy is a pink Mio Amore, I treat it as a “HE” mainly because Ozzy is much more faster and aggresive on the road due to a higher horsepower than Miah because of a slight modification on the engine and the exhaust :D And besides, color pink nowadays are a fad for men. (Nai-way pa eh noh!) haha!

So why Ozzy? It’s a short for Rosy pink? or I’m a fan of Rossi or I’m a fan of Ozzy Osbourne?  Neither all.

I’ll tell you when we meet on the road :D

D.I.Y. Chopper Bikes

Posted by raredog in Techie Stuff, Raredo... | 09.16.2011 - 12:15 pm

Found these two awesome D.I.Y. chopper bikes at the recent RACE Bikes n Cars Show in SM Taytay. I find it so cool, their design really resembles a real chopper bike used by motorcycle gangs, complete with skulls and metal studs all over. Good thing they don’t need any atv power steering just like the atv on the side or else it will be bulging on the front side of the bike and ruin its simple design.

Most of the parts are bicycle parts and lots of additional metal tubings and plates. One bike is powered by what I think is a lawnmower engine and can also be pedalled just in case you ran out of gas. While the other has a two-stroke scooter engine.
