“Meet the older you!” this is the phrase on a website I’ve stumbled today on my facebook! Haha, I hardly knew my buddies after they tried it! It’s a software where you can upload your picture and the program will automatically convert your facial features into how you might look like after 20 years

It is fun!, try and check it out at in20years.com, save your  after-20-years-pic and tag your friends to it. I already tried mine, although I’m quite disappointed though, bcoz most of the pic’s features got blurry, I’ll prolly try another pic then, good luck with yours

I went at the Blogger’s Fiesta 2 days ago! Yeah I know this post is kinda late hehe! Anyways, the event was organized by my co-blogger Azrael thru meetup.com for the 11th birthday of Blogger.com. The venue was at the penthouse of Fully Booked in Bonifacio High Street. And just as Az promise, there were lots of foods for all the attendees! I thought this was a no-budget party haha! Well, it was because  a lot of sponsors poured in to the last minute. We were munching an awesome 18 inch pizza from Greenwich, delicious donuts and coffee from Krispy Kreme, cheeseburgers from Jolibee, and other foodie that bloggers brought in. Wala nga lang H20 wahhh!

I found new acquiantance there! First I met Ria of sugarsmile.blogspot.com, then minutes later, I’ve met my fellow rider cum blogger Rommel of melardenio.com. That night was the first time that I’ve met him personally (after almost 2 years exchanging views online hehe).

Although am a bit sad bcoz I never won the 5,000 GC, I was hoping for it naman, kase my phone also got busted yesterday haha! Anyways, the party was successful. I think there would be a sequel in the near future. Di ba Az?

Starcraft II – the anticipated game of gamers has been released since July 27 of 2010 just about 3 months after cohiba cigars were release. There are 16 new patches that were developed by Blizzard, and lotsa gamers were already playing or battling? it online!

If you’ve already conquered the campaign, and skirmishing online through multiplayer, there’s another reason for you to grab a Starcraft II copy.

Blizzard (The maker of Starcraft I and II) opened up a map-making contest, this is something I have learned from hiveworkshop, a community of map-makers (Its where I stay a lot when I’m in the mood of map-making for WarCaft III). They even teases map-makers into creating their own DOTA-type of game with the new Map Editor Starcraft II has. That’s the cover of Loonie’s debut album (image above), who’s Loonie? If you have a lot of facebook-buddies who loves Fliptop, you’re prolly already familiar with him. Same goes to me, I only knew Loonie lately, that is when Fliptoppin` flooded my wall.

Fliptop, by the way is different from bow ties and is actually the name of a Rap Battle League here in the Philippines, where Pinoy rappers gather to compete. It’s a freestyle rap battle where they throw unrehearsed verses to trash talk their adversaries.

Back to Loonie’s album, I’ve actually got the info on the newspaper, what’s surprising is, he plans on releasing the album for free. Too bad it was not mentioned where to grab a copy . Anyway if you wanna hear his rappin`, it’s already up on youtube

If you’re already playing gunbound season 2, you may have notice the 2 weakest mobiles, where you might need a car insurance to ensure safety while using them

Yes, that is Gunbound’s new type of mobiles which has a different type of shot, mind you that it is only weak if you do not know the proper combination to input before it shoots.

The very first time I used these mobiles named Princess and Assassin I instantly got suspicious about ‘em, by the way I used “DRAG” mode at first, then I noticed they shoot differently on “SLICE” mode, the combinations aren’t posted on the internet though. That is actually why I’m posting this, to hopefully let the players out there utilize these 2 mobiles and be able to master it.

As me and my kiddo Sean Kirk enjoyed watching the Underbone and Scooter race 3 weeks ago. I’ve notice that he was super duper excited when I told him that despite the bad weather and the wet tracks, the pocketbike category would push through.

I also notice the support of the parents of the riders. They make sure that their kids wear all the needed safety gears in this sports! Specially during this wet situation, where the tracks is very slippery. They pamper their rider with the proper suit, gloves, safety pads, and definitely the helmet. If ever this kids or the parents would get really really serious with this, they might consider adding an Arai Motorcycle Helmets in their armory.

After the race, We even went to meet the riders (aging as young as 7 up to 12 years old) and their bikes on their tents. They even allowed us to have have photos taken with their pocketbike, too bad Sean Kirk was too shy that time to sat on the bikes

I played most HOMM games (Started playing in 1999 HOMM:III), to those who’re familiar to it, it’s the Heroes of Might and Magic game and if that doesn’t ring a bell you’re in need of a  baby shower invitations to recall your youth, haha!

Back in the days where Command and Conquer and Starcraft:Broodwar scuffled for the best RTS (Real-time strategy) game, HOMM sneaked in and conquered the Turn-base game in their era.

I played HOMM:III, IV, and V, its just like playing in a chessboard, exchanging turns with your opponents and you can choose from different races, like Castle for the common humans, Tower for those who are spell fanatics and a lot more.

Oh hey! before I forget, the main reason I blogged this is to inform you guys that HOMM has already made it online!, and I’m playing it on Asia server . Hey! Gunbound is Back!,  or am I the only one who missed it.

Just a few years ago, I used to play Gunbound, I love it when it was possible to play it with international players. I got the chance to play with people from different countries. Most of them are teens or even younger, prolly because of its cartoony graphics in 2D and very easy to learn artillery-based gameplay, plus the really cool AVATARS (Clothes/Accessories for your character) where some even look like adult costumes which is really fun to wear for your pilot.

The game then became localized under mobius.ph which also released MU in the Philippines, after a few months the game(Gunbound) had bugs and hacks/cheats which made me quit the game (And I think a lot of players as well).

But yes, its back, and I thought the game already died coz I haven’t heard of it for a long time, but it actually released a 2nd part of it “Gunbound Season 2” with lots of new vehicles, and its back to international server, although its population dramatically decreased from its debut, It’s still worth a try, who knows, the game looks more delightful and challenging! See yah in the game!

Last Friday the 13th was an interesting day, nothing cool nor any interesting happened, but the “Date” itself.

I heard on the news that, August 13, 2010 is the only “Friday the 13th” that will occur this year. Though people, specially the superstitious ones may not prefer that date to celebrate, having custom cake toppers in any celebration would be a lot more fun.

So I thought of checking out how big of a deal is Friday the 13th to other people?, coz the only thing I know bout it is, it’s a title of a horror movie. I learned a lot after researching about it, there were a lot of theories indicated in Wikipedia which rooted from this 2 superstition, having 13 as an unlucky number and Friday as an unlucky day, but what I liked the most is the medical term “friggatriskaidekaphobia” which is “fear of Friday the 13th”. There were even researches in certain countries, where most people with “friggatriskaidekaphobia” prefer to stay indoors whenever it’s Friday the 13th, though this lessens accidents and crimes, it affects businesses a lot coz they don’t get customers .

Its been quite a while since I’ve watched a motorcycle circuit race. Siguro yung huli kong nood was last year pa! That’s why when I saw a streamer of an upcoming race at Ynares Center in Antipolo. Sabi ko sa sarili ko, I make sure I’ll be available that day.

Since I’m a scooter fan, particularly na ang Mio (coz I own and ride a Yamaha Mio Sporty too hehe), inaabangan ko dito yung bakbakan ng mga popular teams like the MTRT, JVT at ang JAD Racing.

It’s race day! August 8, 2010, and I’m hesitant to go. Why? It looks like the race would be postpone or canceled because of a bad weather, there’s a storm coming.

Whaddaheck! I’ve been waiting for this event to come! Ngayon pa ba ako aayaw? I hit the shower, pack my gears and camera and off we go. By the way, I’m with my kiddo Sean Kirk.

We weren’t disappointed because even with the bad weather, the wet and action-packed race still pushed through. Sean enjoys watching little boys like him race their pocketbikes! While big riders have the guts to attack the wet tracks. Slanting at the curves in top speed was no joke, tapos slippery pa. Astig!!!

Kudos to you guys!!! We didn’t finish the race but I could say that It’s not a bad day after all, but a beautiful Sunday!!!

IT IS KICK-ASS!… I have never been in any movie house for a long time now. This generation has kept me stuck in front of PC’s 90% of the time. I spend some of my time reading, especially at carinsurancelist blog where I got to read a lotta new things about car safety.

Last night, me and my bro watched this Kick-ass movie, which has a Kick-ass storyline, and a Kick-ass approach to the audience, especially teens (Ehem, made me feel way back too). Oops! I guess I used “Kick-ass” as an adjective too much for this movie.

But who wouldn’t?? This movie was indeed a Kick-ass movie, in fact the title is “Kick-ass” .

The movie was released here in the Philippines last April 2010, but I happen to watch it just yesterday night, I have never heard of the movie, even any of its advertisements. That night I realized how fun it is to watch a movie without any expectations on it. Even my bro doesn’t know what the movie is about we just inserted the CD and prepared to get our ass kicked. And I say it did kick our ass immensely. (Note: I Loved Hit-Girl and you certainly would so specially if you love anime: P)

Another photo challenge win for me. This time its the “Compact Power: Panning” photo challenge, again at dpreview.com. I got 5th place for the above photo. (out of 29 entries). My co-member in PnSers (Point and Shoot Users) Sir Spreketek was declared No.1. After all he’s won’t be called the Master Panner at our forum for nothing

By the way, my entry was shot last May at the Marikina Sports Center. Just go there when a bunch of cyclist practice around the velodrome, and I’m sure, even if you’re a beginner on this technique (panning) you’ll go home with two, three or more awesome panning shots! Happy panning!

I have this certain fondness towards cosplaying, though I have not cosplayed yet, I can see how fun it is through camcorder shots in youtube. It’s so clear, and you can see how big their[cosplayers] smiles are, as they bring to life different characters from movies and cartoons. Most specially Japanese manga or anime.

In cosplaying you may choose to be a hero or a villain, but this creative robber from Chase Bank in New York (Image above), chose the evil side and played as Darth Vader. The first time I’ve seen this posted in my facebook I thought it’s just another comedy act, even the Bank’s customer thought it was just a joke until he was ordered to drop.

Darth Vader seemed to have suffered the recession and got desperate enough to rob a bank, to refuel his ship maybe. According to news, Darth Vader escaped using a motorbike instead of a ship, and the only clue the police have at the moment is he’s 6-feet-tall.

Can you guys help me decide what would be the best title for my upcoming travel and adventure post? I’ll be travelling kase to Boracay this coming September via the fast and comfy SEAIR Airlines!

Siempre pah I’m superduper mega excited bcoz this would be my first time, (kinda virgin ya know haha!) tapos,  while I’m there I’m planning to stay at the Mediterranean inspired Microtel! O di bah bonggah, tapos nasa beachfront pa location, astig!  Cool and cozy na, bang-for buck pa! Yeah!

Ok, so here are the titles – “Raredog goes to Bora” – “Raredog’s Boracay Escapade” ,“Raredog Invades Bora” or “Girls of Bora meets Raredog” hehe! Whaddyatink is the best?

As in, as if, as kal hehe, wish ko langggg! I was actually dreaming po mga kabayan! Of course I do love to go there and checkout the beach, the gigs and the girls haha!

It really feels comfortable having log furniture at home, especially with if  it’ll be place right in our living room! This is probably the reason why I thought of looking for a mouse pad made of wood as well. I checked out the computer stores in a mall near our place, but i’ve never found any.

I then visited “Comic Alley”,  it’s a store in SM mall which sells anime stuffs here in the Philippines. While checking out the mouse pads they have, my eyes got sucked by these alluring 3D mouse pads… But I thought twice about before buying it, prolly to protect my reputation, and haven’t enough guts to bring the item to the counter , argh! (^_^“).

I then researched through the internet as to what those mousepad’s are. They’re called “Oppai Mousepads”… I also checked out what “OPPAI” means by the way… Oppai (hiragana) = (milk, informal) milk / (anatomy, informal, slang) breasts; tits, according to http://www.wiktionary.org. (Be careful saying that word out in the public )

I wonder who’s idea this is, one thing for sure it’s from japan, and it has captured a lot of interests (specially those anime fan out there like I do) . I’m thinking about buying one soon, talk about mouse “palm rests”, these things would greatly help *evil grins*.

Good thing I had this macro shot of a behave grasshopper just recently, which I took at Lamesa Dam Eco-Park. It was my best macro so far, and my first also to shoot a grashopper. I was kinda uber hesitant at first to join because I knew the competition will be kinda tough. Imagine photographers from all over the world will be my co-competitors! But its finally over and I’m so grateful that my entry has grabbed the 8th position out of 100 entries! Yipeee! I guess I’ll be aiming for the first place next time. Wish ko langggg hehe!!

Last Tuesday 7.13.2010 was so memorable! For I got two unwanted guest during the day. Their timing were soooooh perfect ! As I’m  suffering from a stiff neck and severe headache that day due to my high BP. Aargggh!

Hack Boy was the first to arrive. Zenkx – my co-blogger, was the one who informed me about his arrival. She was totally frickin as she was telling me about the visit of HackBoy. “My blog was HACKED!” she exclaimed!

I told her to relax as I looked into her site. (frickinjoy.com). She indeed have the right to be shocked, as her blog was re-faced! Her main page was all black, and all I can see was a red devil icon, the word HACKED in the middle, and its obnoxious introduction, all in RED!

Sensing that this isn’t one of my lucky day, I rapidly check my other blogs, since we’re under one account on my host. And Holy Camote! Just as I’d expected! All my blogs have been refaced! (websaytko.com, marjonelle.com and ukay2.com). T’was so devastating! I really, really, really don’t know what to do! Its all unexpected, not to mention the headache I have makes it all worst.

I have no choice but to ask for support with my hosting company. Luckily, they’re fast enough to restore a backup to two of the 4 blogsites. Unfortunately, (or weirdly) they don’t have a backup for my main blog (websaytko.com and zenkx’s frickinjoy.com).

Good thing I know Kevin of myamats.me, the tech guy who’s responsible for restoring the remaining two sites before BLACKOUT spreads all over Luzon because of typhoon Basyang.

I’m not really into showbiz, but while reading today’s newspaper about how helpful and effective a treatment for eczema is to a lot of people. Suddenly I saw Alfred Vargas with Marian Rivera? Are they the newest loveteam? Nahh!

Well even if you’re not updated with showbiz, you should know that Marian’s true partner is Dingdong right? And it would be a surprise if you saw a photo where Alfred’s arm is over Marian’s shoulder? hehe!

Before my hypothesis gets deeper, I began to read what the real story is. Then I realize that it wasn’t really Marian Rivera… but someone who looked like her but arguably look better than her (*cough* as indicated in the youtube comments, *cough*… and I agree ).

The girl in the newspaper with Alfred is his Girlfriend. Her name is “Yasmine Espiritu” an Italian Citizen, which is half Filipina. I then checked the internet for more infos and it turned out that it’s not just me who thought of “Yasmine Espiritu” as “Marian Rivera” look-alike, it’s even televised .  For more of the scoop, check out the video and envy Mr. Alfred Vargas (Like I do ).

Games, Games, Gamesssss!

Yeah! Do I sound like the commercial of Vic Sotto haha!  It’s something like a life insurance for seniors for me, as they are here to stay forever, and nobody can live without. By the way I’m talking about computer/video “GAMES”. With the current generation who else aren’t playing any computer game? People even treat virtual pets online for real, and *ehem* virtual “FARMS” being a popular one

Anyway gamers, behold, there’s a new kind of 3D game in town, I just got a bit of information through the newspaper. I’m talking about “Paolo’s Journey”, it’s a new kind of 3D game which is all about Pope Benedict XVI’s Compendium of the Catechism of the Catholic Church. By the way, the game was developed by Fr. Maximo Villanueva (the image above).

According to what I’ve read, the game will be distributed for free to selected schools in the Metro, where 1000 cd’s will be given to Grade 3 students. Hmmm.. I wonder why grade 3 only???

I guess the church is just being “IN” with the generation. The church’s approach is great (I’m gonna give them 10/10 for this, I’ll be bias since I’m a computer gamer ^_^). I think it’s a nice idea to learn history via games like this. Imagine having your character venture the Philippines History and be able to see/talk with Jose Rizal, Andres Bonifacio etc. It’s like learning while playing, *ehem* less boring right?

Let’s bring back the days of the summer here in the Philippines. Who would have forgotten the 38-40 degrees heatwave which acted as a free fat burner pills to our body, and that we’ve suffered a lot, and where we have constantly wished summer would bid farewell asap.

Now, let’s talk about the present. Finally, summer went bye-bye, Oh, by the way, he left a bit of his sweat on the last week of June. It’s a light rainfall which stayed around 15 minutes. In that short span of time we got heavy traffic because of FLOOD!!

Whew talk about preventive measures, as usual it’s done after the effect.

Anyway I heard in the news that additional weather dopplers are being installed here in the Philippines. 10 doppler radars overall. 5 of them are expected to be operational after 2 years . If you recall Typhoon Pepeng and Ondoy, where thousands of people have died and properties destroyed amounting to billions. Well Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) were actually blamed for the lack of Doppler radars that made them fail to calculate the amount of rainfall. In the end, a lot of areas were devastated.

Until now, when Typhoon Basyang came. and still, PAG-ASA cannot perfect their forecast! Maybe its about time they change their style, their image, and lastly, their NAME, coz I think its getting hopeless rather than hope.

Two months have passed since the first automated election in the Philippines – of course, the usual routine, we see candidates who have lost the election filing a protest. I can suggest some diet pills with ephedra to those who had enough of politics.

Today, July 9, 2010, former Senator Manuel Roxas is our very first protester, he has filed a 100-page protest against Vice President Jejomar Binay.

In last week’s report dated July 2, 2010 by “The Star”, it is indicated that Roxas’ camp will be basing their protest on – Null votes during the canvassing, Double Registration, Problems with the transmittal, and other technical issues about the PCOS machines.

I’m a little excited to see on how the investigations will go through. Simply because the protest’s argument is aimed at technical issues of the first automated election, I’m quite sure there are still a lot of people who doubts the election result.

I was ranting two days ago as my entry was declared the winner for our photo challenge with the theme: Circle in Square.

It was really overwhelming as I didn’t expect to win, as most of the entries are  absolutely amazing. I even tied-up with another entry, but in the end I got the votes majority from the members, yeah! My buddy Lennox even joke that it was like a photo-finish!haha!

That’s the title I gave for my entry. Obviously because they are a group of cotton buds, and they are all 200. lol! Would you like to count them? haha!

(O_O) , well that’s how I looked like after browsing too much on the internet. Having a hard time to think of a story to blog, I opened up my facebook to grab some inspiration, and damn it didn’t fail me!

It was love at first sight haha! Thankfully, as I clicked on this cute profile picture which I normally ignore, coz I think they are just “POSERS” (someone who uses someone’s  photo on their profiles).

Alodia Gosiengfiao, this name will forever be remembered by me from this day on – I’d prolly need natural sleeping pills each night to get over my mesmerization. While browsing her photos I saw a lot of comments under her pics in “tagalog”, and I wonder “Why do they comment in my native language, there’s no way this very cute lady could be a Filipina coz she looks more like japanese”. (O_O”) (my reaction once again), This girl is indeed a Filipina who lives in the same city as I am (Quezon City), an avid fan of anime, a cosplayer, a model, a blogger, loves to draw, and a computer gamer just like me (most prolly coz she mention she plays during the famcom days and PC-486), and since we share the same passion, I guess she’s the purrfect girl for me! ^o^. Wake Up Duo Maxwell wake upppp!!!!

By the way, she has a lot of awesome pics but I chose the image above, coz I “ENVY” the construction workers a LOT! She was so popular that she was even interviewed in Mel & Joey which I watched in youtube, you can also find her in social networking sites (in my case, “Facebook”)

We Filipinos indeed value communication a LOT, like obese persons value alli diet pills. An attestation to this is that our country being known as the texting capital of the WORLD, ^o^.

It’s not surprising that cellphone companies would seek improvements to catch our attention. While reading yesterdays newspaper, I found this interesting mobile phone that has the capability to work your 3-sims in 1 phone!!

With most of our teens addicted to texting, plus the indulgence provided by different telecom promos – unlimited/combos of texting to calling, I’m sure existing dual-sim phone users would definitely embrace this new technology. But of course, I think the one who would really benefit from this technology are the load retailers! Di ba?
