Marikina Riverpark Tiangge Circa 2006

Posted by raredog in Uncategorized, Photo... | 12.18.2009 - 3:10 pm

marikina christmas tiangge circa 2006

This shimmering gondola is one of the highlights at the Marikina Tiangge three years ago. If my memory is right, I remember the entire tiangge was  submerged and all the stalls and merchandise were washed away by the flood because of a strong typhoon, which name I forgot.

New Wave Night with WXB DJs

Posted by raredog in Uncategorized, Photo... | 12.16.2009 - 3:19 pm

It was a nostalgic night for me and my posse (Nathan, JR and myself) as we dare to be different that night of December 5, and travel through time and landed at Alan’s Grill, its right inside Marikina Shoe Expo. A popular place in Cubao during the early eighties up to mid nineties where they sell quality handcrafted shoes that were made in Marikina. Now they sell water filters because of Ondoy lol.

We party all night with songs and tunes from the 80′s and 90′s, particularly New Wave music. It was way much cooler if they offer Beer Hausen, Manila Beer, Lagerlite or Carlsberg haha! DJ’s George Frederick of WXB 102 – The Station That Dares to be Different was the first to do the mixing of vinyls on the turntables to the delight of all old schooler’s at the venue! He initially played the song “Do they know its Christmas” by Band-AID. Other cool songs from Echo and the Bunnymen, Depeche Mode, New Order, The Smiths etc.. etc.. echoed throughout the night.

Other discjockey icons were there too! The pretty Lady DJ AGNES MACASAET, Tazmanian Devil, Harry Nolan and Jay Laforteza to name a few.  I like to hang all of you haha! I love this kinda gig. It brings back good ol’memories. Long Live New Wave era!

Derek and me

Posted by raredog in Uncategorized, Photo... | 12.10.2009 - 2:11 pm

derek and me

At last, I’ve found my long lost brother! At the set of the much awaited drama teleserye of ABS-CBN “Habang May Buhay”. Im talking about the hunk and debonaire Derek Ramsey! Can you see the similarity on our smiles? hehe. Of course Im just joking that we’re brothers. If only I got dental care discounts with my dentist, maybe I can also have that kind of whitey teeth too like my idol Derek.  :D Whaddyatink? Don’t answer! lol

So cold this December

Posted by raredog in Uncategorized, Photo... | 12.09.2009 - 2:07 pm

It’s so COLD! Brrrrrr!

I swear, at times like these, I wish I could go have a vacation some place sunny, like maybe in puerto vallarta mexico.

The “Ber” months in the Philippines are pretty cold nowadays, especially this December. I think I’m going to get the colds again, especially since I don’t heat my bath water and that I walk home at 6pm in the evening. Once, I even woke up at 3 am in the morning and headed outside our house to watch my breath turned into fog haha!. Brrr… It’s probably a good thing that the Philippines is close to the equator… I dread the moment when it would snow here. I’d probably be one of the first ones to suffer from frostbite and hypothermia. XD

Anyway, I guess it’s time to bring out my jacket (or cuddle close to my partner hahaha). But I get the feeling that once summer comes in, I’ll be ranting about the heat again. Hahaha!

Horrible Realization

Posted by raredog in Uncategorized, Photo... | 12.08.2009 - 1:46 pm

jacob black

I just had a horrible realization.

I just realized that I wasn’t able to watch the movies that I wanted, and that I ended up watching the movie that I had no plan watching, after being manipulated by my sister. How horrid is that?

I had absolutely no plans of watching Twilight – New Moon, and yet I sat there, starting at Jacob Black’s abs and then staring at the light fixtures in the ceiling of the movie theater whenever Edward and Bella came on. (no offense to Twilight fans) :D

The last great movie I was able to watch was “Transformers 2”, and that was months ago. I wasn’t able to watch any of the movies I wanted to watch like “Paranormal Activity”, “2012”, “X-Men Origins”… I wasn’t even able to watch “Batman: The Dark Knight”!

Sheeesh… maybe I can watch it on some watch-free-movie sites instead, if the need arises XD

Stunning Juday

Posted by raredog in Uncategorized, Photo... | 12.06.2009 - 5:36 pm

stunning juday

“Stunning!” I told myself. I think that’s the best word to describe the beauty of (Juday) Judy Ann Santos. As I personally saw her on the set of “Habang May Buhay“, the much awaited comeback of her drama-serye on Philippine television.

She’s look so simple and fresh that day, and her figure is amazingly petite. Far from what she looks like, some years ago. I think its a result from her tedious workouts and some best weight loss supplements, one which she endorse on her tv commercial. Your one heck of a lucky guy Ryan Agoncillo!

How to revive a drowned scooter

Posted by raredog in Uncategorized, Photo... | 12.03.2009 - 2:44 pm

side mirror mud

Who would thought that such flood would submerged our village. Just like what the engineers of the famous ship Titanic, I also thought our place were unsinkable. Im talking about the Typhoon Ondoy flood, where I personally saw refrigerators, office furnitures, and even cars and AUV’s floating leisurely inside our village.

drowned mio sporty

With water reaching 8 feet on the walls of our house, Miah haplessly became an instant victim. No worry because she’s not a person but a Yamaha Mio which we’ve named Miah. I didn’t revive her right away, instead I let her dry for two days. Here is a list on how to revive a drowned Mio hehe (or just any scooter for that matter)

naked mio sporty

1. Get her naked! tweet-tweet lol!(remove all the fairing)
2. Let her dry for a day or two. (am talking about the bike ok!) :D
3. Drain the fuel from the tank, let it dry for a while, then fill her up with
fresh fuel.
4. Drain engine oil and replenish with a new engine oil
5. Drain gear oil and replenish with a new gear oil
6. Remove carburetor. Drain and clean it
7. Gently kick the kickstart to pop out dormant water inside the combustion chamber
8. Remove spark plug. Clean the tip. (replace if necessary)
9. Clean battery contacts. Drain and replenish with new distilled water
10. Spray WD-40 on ignition to repel water and prevent corrosion

This guide is for the engine only. As for the aesthetics (lights, horn, brake lights, signal, etc..) just open it up and clean it. Ok, if you’re done with 1 – 10 and placed back all the parts, then its time to start your engine via kickstart. It should start after a few kicks, keep on throttling until the fuel reaches the carb, then allow some time for the idling to get back to normal. That’s it! Enjoy your ride again.

Desktop Christmas Lights

desktop christmas lights

Want to have some cool Christmas decoration on your computer? Christmas lights maybe? Well, you can have one even without visiting an electrical supplies store or buying one from a tiangge.

I’m talking about this retro application “lights95.exe” (sounds like it was made on that year right?! no worry it works flawless on my XP) which you can download for free at http://xmasfun.com then run it on your desktop.

Lots of bulbs to choose from, different flashing modes, and plays music too! It even has a cool screensaver. The falling snow is the one I’ve chose. My officemates find it kewl!!! They are eagerly asking me where did I got it. I told them to wait until I post the link on my blog! Sayang din yung hits ba! haha!

Christmas after Ondoy?

Posted by raredog in Uncategorized, Photo... | 11.23.2009 - 4:02 pm

christmas decor

The figurine above is one of the item I’ve salvaged from our things at the house after that unruly flood cause by Typhoon Ondoy. Its actually a christmas decor that we can display this coming season. I wonder how much more to those whose house were swept away by the raging flood. Will there still be a nice Christmas for them after Ondoy?

For almost three weeks after the murky water subsides, Im still hoping I could find some of my electronic items, rc truck accessories and some important documents.

Now the house is clean and tidy and completely mud-free, and yet most of my personal things are still lost. Lessons learned the hard way. I guess I’ll just place everything important on some ziplock bags and bury it next time lol! :D

Insomnia Lyrics – Craig david

Posted by raredog in Uncategorized, Photo... | 11.18.2009 - 3:59 pm

insomniac

Another great song from a great artist. Im talking about the man who popularize the songs “7 Days” and “Walking Away” Its no other than Mr. Craig David, you nailed it again man!. BTW I like to dedicate this song “Insomnia” to my friend Nathan who happens to have an sleeping disorder or better known as an insomniac person haha! Nothing can make him sleep except after dozing several bottle of Red Horse Beer. He’s always in front of his computer, chatting at some Camfrog rooms til the break of dawn. No offense bro! lol. If only you got some patio cushions on your crib, Im sure there’ll be a major impact on your sleeping habits.

Insomnia lyrics

I never thought that I’d fall in love, love, love, love
But it grew from a simple crush, crush, crush, crush
Being without you girl, I was all messed up, up, up, up
When you walked out, said that you’d had enough-nough-nough-nough

Been a fool, girl I know
Didn’t expect this is how things would go
Maybe in time, you’ll change your mind
Now looking back i wish i could rewind

Because i can’t sleep til you’re next to me
No i can’t live without you no more
Oh i stay up til you’re next to me
Til this house feels like it did before
Feels like insomnia ah ah, Feels like insomnia ah ah
Feels like insomnia ah ah, Feels like insomnia ah ah

Remember telling my boys that I’d never fall in love, love, love, love
You used to think I’d never find a girl I could trust, trust, trust, trust
And then you walked into my life and it was all about us, us, us, us
But now I’m sitting here thinking I messed the whole thing up, up, up, up

Been a fool (fool), girl I know (know)
Didn’t expect this is how things would go
Maybe in time (time), you’ll change your mind (mind)
Now looking back i wish i could rewind

Because i can’t sleep til you’re next to me
No i can’t live without you no more (without you no more)
Oh i stay up til you’re next to me (to me)
Til this house feels like it did before (Because it)
Feels like insomnia ah ah, Feels like insomnia ah ah
Feels like insomnia ah ah (Ah), Feels like insomnia ah ah

Ah, i just can’t go to sleep
Cause it feels like I’ve fallen for you
It’s getting way too deep
And i know that it’s love because

I can’t sleep til you’re next to me
No i can’t live without you no more (without you no more)
Oh i stay up til you’re next to me (to me)
Til this house feels like it did before
Feels like insomnia ah ah, Feels like insomnia ah ah
Feels like insomnia ah ah, Feels like insomnia ah ah

Feels like insomnia ah ah, Feels like insomnia ah ah
Feels like insomnia ah ah, Feels like insomnia ah ah

Hayup ka Ondoy – Final Chapter

Posted by raredog in Uncategorized, Photo... | 11.16.2009 - 1:53 pm

And so after a brief introduction, we found out that Man (1) and Lady (1) were lovers and they came all the way from San Mateo Rizal, while Man (2) just tag along with them from the gate of Cainta Greenpark. (im really sorry guys I forgot your names).

Moments passed and the house owner gave another sets of biscuits which we shared to our new roofmates lol. The atmosphere became less horrifying as we talked with one another, sharing our dilemma and even joke about it. Not enough sleep that night, for sure I would need the best eye cream for dark circles when this ordeal is over.

Time was so longggggg during our stay at the roof. Finally, at around 8am, the sun was shining brightly and the flood level has slowly receded (nabawasan ng mga 2 feet). We can now see car roofs and some people walking their way through the floods. I was the last one to climb down the roof. All of my roofmates left much earlier. I stayed for an hour more, because from what I heard, my place was still much deeper and risky to go to.

this  was the actual street I’ve waded, although the flood here has lessen from the actual time that I’ve pass-through.

At last, at about 10am, after an hour of wading (again) through the flood, I finally met my son Sean Kirk. He’s safe and sound. Good thing we have a neighbor who owns a two-story house where they stayed and somehow escape that dreadful flood. Thank God!

Its been proven that no matter how much technology we have now, its still no match when mother nature strikes. This event also symbolizes that we don’t own our life, and that any day could be our last. Always be prepared to meet thy creator with good heart and soul. The End

Thanks to all who patiently reads the whole Hayup ka Ondoy Chronicle. :D

Hayup ka Ondoy – Chapter 12

Posted by raredog in Uncategorized, Photo... | 11.10.2009 - 7:41 am

He said his name was JR, short for junior or stands for Jesus Rescues? Can be! Can be! pede di ba! Just like me, he enters the village alone to save his parents, but he gave up along the way because of the deep flood, strong current and pitch black environment, that he eventually ended up at the roof for refuge.

All along we thought morning was about to come, not until we asked a man from the nearby townhouse (who gave JR a dry Tshirt and a cigarette) that its only 8pm.

This is the longest night of my life! One for the Amazon books I could say! We both tried to sleep on the cold and bumpy roof. Its not that cozy but its the best bed for us that moment, as we somehow snatched a nap while ignoring the drizzle.

We’re about 1 or 2 hours there when the window on the 2nd floor opens. Its the owner of the house after all. He asked us if me and JR were ok, then he gave us some biscuits to munch. (Thank you sir, im giving you a gift this X’mas!)

Then an hour later we heard a wailing voice of a girl. She was asking for help. “saklolo, tulungan nyo po kami! hindi na po namin kaya, malulunod po kami” The same thing that happen to me.  She was shooting blanks in total darkness “parang ako, bahala na kung me makadinig” Lucky for them (they were 3 – 1  girl and 2 boys) we heard them. We told them to hold on and we’ll help them climb the roof. And then we we were five. As in “Five for Fighting” Ondoy’s wrath!

Hayup ka Ondoy – Chapter 11

Posted by raredog in Uncategorized, Photo... | 11.07.2009 - 1:44 pm

I heard a man’s voice asking me how I was. I look above me and I couldn’t believe my eyes! Am I dead? Is he an angel or from the dark side? lol! Or I am just hallucinating? But it was for real! There he was on the roof.  “Pre ok ka lang? Taga-saan ka?” he yelled. I replied “pre tulungan mo ako hindi ko na kaya, taga-dito rin ako sa village, baka pwedeng jan muna ako sa bubong?!” I also live here and Im in distress, please help me!” Initially he didn’t move right away from his position. I know he’s kinda hesitant because he might fall if he gets much closer on the edge of the roof.

Im just around 3 feet away from clear survival and I wouldn’t let this chance slips away. That’s why with all my remaining strength, I struggled to climb the slippery wall so that he can reach my hand much closer and eventually pull me up out of misery.

At last I made it! From the roof, I can view the entire flooded neighborhood and it  looks like the opposite of Myrtle beach golf courses! We then introduce ourselves to each other and exchange stories.  I was amazed to know that he’s not from that house either and we’ve got the same fate that night, he just went up there an hour ago. (God’s way again). I told him how glad I am to see him and thanked him for saving me…

Hayup ka Ondoy – Chapter 10

Posted by raredog in Uncategorized, Photo... | 11.06.2009 - 11:04 am

I was totally in despair of my situation when all of a sudden my whole body slammed into what I feel was a sturdy guava tree! I immediately cling my hands and feet into its branch in a fat burner position and somehow place my head above the water, just enough to catch my breath. “Hayyy! Thank you God for this tree!”

life saving plant

I remember grasping my last breath that night when I was carried by the raging flood that were around 6 – 7 feet deep. That moment I thought it was a sturdy guava tree. Only to be surprised a few days after the flood subsides, that it was only an ornamental plant. God really has his ways.

“Grabe lahat na yata ng nginig sa katawan naramdaman ko!” My body was shaking tremendously due to coldness and fear of drowning. And yet, you wouldn’t believe the stubbornness in me as I’m still planning to continue my quest after what happened. I still want to go further more upon seeing steel bars that I can hold from the gates of a townhouse. But this time my hearing dominates my thinking as I can clearly hear the forceful gushing of the water. “Malabo na ito kung itutuloy ko pa! Baka sa susunod hindi na ako swertehin” I might not be lucky the next time.

While still clinging. I notice the gate besides me. (as you can see at the photo above) I tried to knock profusely and shouted for help. “Tao po! Tao po! Tulungan nyo po ako!!!” The thing is that even if I spend the whole night knocking no one will come out because the flood is now around 7 feet and I think it wasn’t a house but a warehouse.

My knuckles were about to get numb knocking, when suddenly I heard a voice…

Hayup ka Ondoy – Chapter 9

Posted by raredog in Uncategorized, Photo... | 11.04.2009 - 10:15 am

I wasn’t expecting the current to be that strong, I miscalculate my move. Its not a typical walk in tubs situation and there’s nothing I can do but to go with the flow for the meantime while my hands and eyes are busy searching for a quick solution on my horrifying ordeal.

Luckily I was able to grab the iron gate of a house for a temporary refuge. But with the traits of the current, there will be no options for me but to move along with it.

I was two houses away from the street corner. Maybe, just maybe, there’ll be something much better for me when I reach it. Im hopelessly hoping for a miracle this time.

And so without further ado, I hugged, crawled, and embraced anything on my path just to reach that corner. I even remember hanging on a fence full of broken glass and hugging a thorny bougainvilla tree just to survive.

Finally I’ve reached that corner. From what i saw, it has nothing better to offer but that same old dark and floody ambiance. No people, no elevated place or objects. Just the flood and all that darkness.

Then my worst case scenario happens. It happen so fast. i didn’t anticipate the water would be much deeper there! I was engulfed by the flood and was actually drowning that instance. Swirling underwater for God knows how long while losing valuable air on my lungs. I guess this would be how my life would end…

Hayup ka Ondoy – Chapter 8

Posted by raredog in Uncategorized, Photo... | 10.31.2009 - 9:16 am

With nothing to keep me afloat I seeked for a place that I can hang on or stay. Where is that key person insurance when I need one haha. That’s when I saw a multicab pickup. The small roof of it instantly became my islet for the night. Infront of it was a car with only its roof showing. Ok this is it. I assess myself, I still can manage my thirst, hunger and my chilliness. I’ll just try to relax and somehow sleep to recharge my body and maybe I’ll just wait here until daylight comes and the flood subsides (wish ko lang)

Minutes passed. I can’t sleep on that cramped and cold roof no matter what position I made. I look at the Sta Lucia side and it looks like the dawn is breaking. Im basically clueless to what’s the time and it makes me smile thinking the sun is about to rise. (now im hallucinating) It started raining hard again. The car infront of me was now 100% submerged.

Panic is slowly entering my system. Thoughts of any minute now the multicab will also be in the same situation, and thinking anytime would be rough for me. I bowed and say a little prayer to Bro (Our Lord Jesus). I then descend from the multicab. The water is up to my chin already. I plan to go back a few houses to seek shelter to a nearby school. I saw them before letting people inside their premises. Since the school location was infront, I have no options but to confront the current. By the way the current was now quite unmanageable. I trek first along the houses on my side. Holding into something that my hands can grab (gates, windows, walls, plants, etc..) just to save my energy before swimming across.

Finally I ran out of things to grab because the next was an open lot, and Im in parallel with the school. I suppose its time for some extreme action! I then swam with all my might to the other side of the road, battling the raging current. Guess what? I failed! The stream was too strong to battle. And there I was being carried away into the darkness…

Hayup ka Ondoy – Chapter 7

Posted by raredog in Uncategorized, Photo... | 10.28.2009 - 8:30 pm

(Due to pitch black darkness involving this chapter. I won’t be placing any image for this post.)

After relaxing for about 30 minutes in Sta Lucia. I gathered all my remaining strength (and courage) in my body and starts conditioning my mind. “Kaya ko’to, Kaya ko’to!” I then proceed towards Cainta Greenpark. But actually Im having second thoughts upon seeing the gloomy tone of Imelda Avenue. If only Cainta Municipality had roadside assistance justl like what I saw at www.goodsamers.com where rescuing is their company motto.

The water is waist deep and the current is kinda rough. Just to be sure, I actually waited for some people to cross the street before i tried it myself haha! (sigurista). After which I finally reached the gate of the village. There’s no guard at the gate so there’s no way I can get any information about the village condition. I entered the village gate and met a man. I asked him “Bro musta ba sa loob ng village?” He replied in high-tone “Its dangerous! Flood is rising! Refrain from going inside!” I thanked him, but still I proceed inside the village. Again, after a few minutes of walking, another man came by my direction. Still, I got the same bad news from him. “wag ka ng tumuloy, hindi mo kakayanin!” said the man.

My mind is now confused. I have gone this far, and my target destination is near. “Ngayon pa ba ako hihinto eh malapit na ako.” I’ve rest for a while under a roof of a store. Then from the dark came two men who were also decided to go inside the village. One got a large basin and the other one was clasping a big container just enough for him to float. I decided to go with them since I can still manage to wade through the flood.

Our travel was a breeze bcoz we were going with the flow of the current. After wading and somehow floating (flood is now around 5 feet high) we’ve reach the corner street. I told them Im holding back for now coz Im tired. But the truth is Im almost in panic mode because the flood is getting deeper. In my thoughts “What if I drown? Will they save me?” At least for them, they’re holding onto something. I bid them goodbye and good-luck, within seconds they’re gone and Im left alone on that dark and scary street …

Hayup ka Ondoy – Chapter 6

Posted by raredog in Uncategorized, Photo... | 10.25.2009 - 1:01 pm

ondoy flooded sta lucia along marcos hiway

Guess what? The pink fence of Mr. Bayani Fernando saved me from further exploring Ligaya street, as my body luckily landed on it.”Whew! Thank God! That was close!” I uttered. So again Im back on my feet and starts wading again along Marcos Highway. We were like traversing a maze by the position of the vehicles on our path. “Kung wala lang tubig, sarap siguro maglaro ng airsoft dito hehe”. I guess one need lots of wrinkle cream after skinny dipping on this murky water for such a long time now.

Hayyy! Finally, I’ve reached Sta Lucia MAll. Im surprise to see that there’s no flood there, except  their basement. The place is like a mirage on the desert! It instantly became a haven for people living near the vicinity. All of them seems to be sharing their own story to one another. Its the second dry location I’ve seen along my travel. The first one was at the MRT Station in Santolan.

The mall was closed but I saw two concessionaires (Shakeys and Starbucks) are open but with few customers only. I stand by for a while and checked my stuff. I already disposed of my umbrella earlier since Its no use for me coz Im soaking wet from head to foot, and its already 50% wrecked! That’s the main reason haha! All I got now was my waterlogged backpack with my wallet and cellphone inside it wahhh!

Im thinking what should be my next plan. Should I stay or should I go? The fact that its night already, its brownout, (Sta Lucia has generators, that explains the light) and Im solo. And to where Im going its unpredictable. Unlike in Marcos Hiway, where I can join other people in assaulting the flood. This time I guess it will only be me. To be continued…

Hayup ka Ondoy – Chapter 5

Posted by raredog in Uncategorized, Photo... | 10.23.2009 - 2:45 pm

ondoy flood

The next thing I know, Im one of those who brave to wade into the murky flood. We were only few compare to those who chose to stay at the MRT. The flood height varies from time to time. Sometimes its up to my chest and sometimes its as high as my shoulder. Everyone moves slowly as we form a line besides the pink fence by the MMDA. We need to hold on to something to avoid deep portion of the flood or worst an open manhole.

As we all walk towards Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall rain starts to pour again. Rumor of an imminent danger along our path soon to spread. We knew about it through people making it on the opposite direction. They told us to reserve our energy and to be ready for crossing the intersection in Ligaya, Pasig. I heard one man said “Tatagan ninyo mga binti nyo at napakalakas ng agos duon!” Just to counter my fear, I told myself  “if they can cross it, so can we!”

A few minutes later we’ve reached the dreaded location. From where Im standing, Marcos Hiway looks like an epic scene of a Hollywood movie like The Day After Tomorrow, 2012, Armageddon or just any end-of-the-world flick. Water and people everywhere, vehicles big and small, old and new are scattered all over the place. If car agents could sell motorhome that floats, it would surely be a big hit!

We then saw a group of 5 or 6 persons coming from the Marikina side. They are all in juxtapose or in kapit-bisig position while they are being dragged by the raging flood. Most women on the vicinity shouted in anguish, as they watched the scenario. Luckily, men at the middle portion of the road acted quickly and save them.

Now its our turn. I catched one deep breath and told myself  “this is it, I could do it! ” Suddenly a woman from my right side grabbed my arm and said “kapit-kapit tayo kuya ha, para matatag tayo sa agos” I just nod, and said “ok let’s do it”. Then a man from my left side warned us to wait because there’s a rope underneath, but twas too late because my left foot was tangled already. The group was already moving and I can’t untangle my foot. Im now on a slanted position, there’s no other choice but to let go of my arm for them to move. Then the inevitable happened, after I let go of my arm, I lost my balance and found myself being carried away by the growling flood. Knowing nobody were along my path to save me, I tried not to panic and keep my self afloat, then little by little I pushed myself to the side of the street.

Hayup ka Ondoy – Chapter 4

And so my unplanned saga continues. Upon reaching the bridge, I rest for a while and watched the flash flood just like the others. I even saw one man reaching for a pack of Chippy below the bridge with his umbrella. I guess by that scene you can imagine the height of the flood. I then continue walking, I tried the higher bridge infront of SM Marikina to get a much wider view of the scenario. Within minutes I’ve reached MRT Santolan station. Its dark already and from there I saw numbers of stranded people hopelessly waiting. The stretch of Marcos Hiway fronting MRT station is soooohhh creepy since lamp posts on the center island are all shut down. Good thing MRT has bright lights to guide us kahit papano, but only for a short distance. So tambay muna ako at nakiramdam sa paligid.

Not to many decided to continue walking. Some are tired and decided to rest at the station, while multitudes are afraid to trek the cold and chocolaty water. I can’t blame them, because just like them I know it would be tough and dangerous to wade there without lights. But then, What the heck! Im almost half of my target destination and I know my kiddo needs to see me specially on time like this, he’s only accompanied by his yaya. So like a suicide mission, I decided to proceed. Bahala na ulit! to be continued…
