Buhay Drifter (eat – sleep – drift)

Nothing beats our drifting getaway last weekend in Mariveles, Bataan. Together with the Pinoy Drift Trikes crew we bond for hours! Also meet new acquaintances! new found places and lotsa food trippin! And of course last but not the least, we had so much fun drifting over the fast hill at FAB in Mariveles, Bataan.

We had quite a number of drops, considering we started late in the afternoon due to the scorching heat. Good thing I was one of the boys that drop the night before, at least mas nakarami ng drop hehe.

The Bataan Drop Zone is almost 2 kilometers. Starting from PUP and ends on FAB gate at Visayas Ave. The whole ride and drift took us around 3 minutes with top speed reaching 80km/hr at its most!

You could imagine the adrenaline rush pumping through our veins, the sound of our pvc wheels on the street makes me wanna use the best noise isolating headphones to relax my eardrums lol!

It was our third time to drift there, sarap kasing balik-balikan ng lugar. Not only the fast and smooth downhill it offers but siempre the cool place and nice people around. 😀

Late na kami nakaalis ng bahay around 4pm na dahil sa sobrang bagal magsikilos at kung anong anik-anik pa ginagawa ng mga kasama ko hayahay! Tapos inabot pa kami ng trapik sa me Sta. Lucia to Junction (almost 1 hour yata kami duon) kaya by the time na nasa Teresa, Rizal market na kami eh madilim na. If you’ll check the coordinates sa Google Map, you would see that the island is at the center of the road tapos madilim pa yung lugar kaya ingats na lang po sa mga dadaan jan.

This would be the Cjay first long drive and second time ko naman mapuntahan ang Majayjay, yun nga lang naka motor ako nung first time ko. So since its a bit late na, I decided to take the Sta Cruz – Magdalena route kase sa tingin ko mas maliwanag at mas malaki yung kalsada dadaanan unlike sa Louisiana na makipot at panay pa zigzag.

Sa wakas touchdown sa venue at around 10pm! 6 hours on the road, 135kms on my odometer reading. Ayun siningil kami ng P30 per head dahil overnight (P20 daytime only). Tapos P100 parking fee for overnight (P50 for daytime). Since hindi kami kasya lahat matulog sa van, we rented a tent that’s good for 6 person for P350 at ang masaklap another P50 sa tatayuan ng tent kase dun kami sa parking nag pitch ng tent. Grabeh noh…well ganun talaga, kaya as much as possible bring your own tent ng makamenos.

Everyone has their own share on making our dinner since its already late at gutom na ang lahat. Mabilis kami nakapag paapoy kahit maginaw that night at makapagluto. I admit the rice was not well done pero sa taong gutom pede na sya hehe. Then we all went to sleep for the big day ahead!

Yun na! Luto again pagka gising! Omelette at sinangag for breakfast, tapos barbecue hotdog for lunch at saing ng unli-rice for all na gugutumin for sure sa paglalakad at paliligo hehe! Grabe sandamakmak sa dami yung tao pagdating namin ng Taytay Falls. Kahit saan ka lumingon meron nakapwesto. Good thing me nakita kaming space under the small bridge near the falls. Dun kami pumuwesto at me running water style jacuzzi pa kami sa side namin na solo namin haha! Perfect!

Around 3pm na rin when we decide to go home. This time we took the Louisiana Road going to Cavinti. Then we just bought some pasalubong at Famy, Laguna at Selfie/Groupie sa Windfarm in Pililla, before going tambay mode sa me overlooking sa Bugarin at mag snack na rin. Got home safe and sound, feeling accomplished, satisfied and thankful! Ulitin natin ito!

Thanks to GoPro for capturing our moments! Here’s our video 😀

Pinoy Drift Trikes visits Taktak Road

GOPR2013_tonemapped (Large)

Stoked and adrenalin shoot up last Araw ng Kagitingan while testing the hill of the famous Taktak Road in Antipolo! Albeit a-not-much curvaceous hill with not much speed to offer, its still a perfect spot for gravity sports because its near Manila. We we’re delighted on the smoothness of the asphalt, you can do tricks with less effort, no wonder its also a favorite spot of Long-boarders!
