Drivers License Renewal at LTO – DLRC

Its been more than a week before I’ve noticed that my driver’s license is already expired. Actually, the same thing happened to me the last time I’ve renewed it. Signs of Alzheimer’s lol!

This would be my first time to renew at an LTO-DLRC (Drivers License Renewal Center). I’ve chosed the one that’s near my place, at Robinsons Metro East, Marcos Hiway Pasig City. Located besides the big grocery section, the DLRC office has around 10 employees and 30 seating capacities for waiting applicants. Although there’s no area rugs for elegant ambiance, it has air-conditioning that makes it much more comfy compare to their traditional offices with fans only.

Got there at around 10:05am ,basically the process are:

1. Go to window 1 and present your expired license
2. A form will be given to you. Fill-out the form
3. Pay the medical and drug test fees (P100 Medical + P300 Drug Test)
4. Take the medical and drug test
5. Submit back the form, medical/drug test certificate back to window 1
6. Next is at window 6 for capturing your photo and signature
7. Then pay the License Fee at window 5
a. License Fee – P350
b. Penalty – P75 (pag lumampas kayo sa expiration date)
c. Comp Fee – P57.63
Total P482.63
+P400.00 (Med/DT)
Grand Total P882.63 (at least bring P1000 bucks for sure)

Got hold of my spanking Drivers License at around 11:30am, one hour and a half, not bad at all, just in time to have lunch and some window shopping inside the mall.

Just a tip. DLRC Robinsons Metro East opens at 9am, you just have to enter at the side entrance of the mall. And don’t forget to bring a ballpen. (Me ballpen dun pero its P10 bucks, pang yosi din hehe).

UPDATES!!! as of 23 March 2012

So ayun, before 9am nakaupo na ako sa labas at nag-aantay magpapasok yung guard.

From P57.63 three years ago, now it’s P67.53, a difference of P10 only. Tapos na-release yung license ko ng exactly 10am. Uy less than an hour na, level-up!

  1. Aha! Robinson’s Metro East is also quite near me and my license set to expire in a couple of months…
So I just want to say “Thank you” for all this tip.
I will bring my own ballpen! :):):)

  2. Thanks for this information sir…surely I will bring my pen. Sayang din ang 10pesos, hehehe

  3. nagpunta po ako sa rob metro east yesterday and i am very disappointed.. ganun pa rin ang sistema… sira ang sistem ng first renewal nila… buymalik nlng daw ako ngayon.. hayst waste of money and time.. grabe sistema tlg ng pinas hindi na magbabago… nilipat ko nga sa mall hindi mo naman makukuha ang kailangan mo.. balewala…

  4. My husband drivers license was expired last July 19,2001.He is planning to renew it again, it is possible to avail renewal?

  5. @lou – Im not in a position to say yes. Although, I think its possible. Just bring the expired license. An appropriate penalty will be added for sure.

  6. you can post ur comments here or any questions regarding to ur drivers license renewal…i’ll try to answer working at LTO/CMDTCI DLRC rob branch..

Mag re renew sana ako one of these days?

  8. ATTN.: stunning28 (maybe you could suggest what could be done also 🙂 thanks)

Just had my license renewed in LTO Malate (Puregold) and took me one hour and thirty minutes exactly. Took some time since there was only one (1) cashier servicing everybody!!! I know there are DLRCs but this office was the nearest to mine. But I have no complains since I was able to renew my license without meeting rude people.

Prior to this, I tried renewing in DLRC Ayala MRT branch. Yes, there was no line and it could’ve taken 45 minutes tops to finish the entire process but, I arrived at 5:30 pm in the afternoon (tried to catch their closing of 6 pm) but their medical facility had their cut-off at 5 pm!!!!! I tried to suggest to the supervisor to request their partner medical facility to open during their office hours also, but I met the rudest and service “disoriented” bunch of people (and they call themselves civil servants except for one who might be working for Stradcomm or an outside agency for Stradcomm)in the planet!!! Their names are Haydee Basibas (of Stradcomm or an agency of Stradcomm) and a Mr. Diomampo (who was busy eating and it’s not even breaktime, note this was 5:30 pm). I didn’t catch the head’s name but there is only one supervisor and she knows who she is. They were even proud that their names are on their office’s wall. Anyway, in an unrelated incident, I know someone who came there before 12 and come 12 noon, they declared lunch break and there were 3 clients in the room! Kudos to this group of workers, New Year’s nearing, I wish you’d change.

Anyway, the above made me aware that the medical results are valid for a year! I wish LTO will consider office worker’s annual physical exam results so that only the drug test will be needed. Maybe it could eliminate the (in my opinion) unreasonable cutoff time of the medical facilities in LTO offices and DLRCs.

  9. DLRC in Rob Galleria and LTO in Marikina are okay by the way. I have been reading good reviews from the employees of DLRC in Tiendesitas too. To these offices, keep up the good work! 😀

  10. @geri a.k.a. raredog – i really hope so but i don’t think they were listening hehe. i felt i was blabbing and talking to the glass…tsktsk

  11. just wanna ask, if i can renew my drivers license there at rob metro east, it’s almost 3yrs ng expired and i do have my drug test and medical? pde b aq mag renew dun? tnx

  12. to stunning28,

  13. @louie – sir from Robinson’s around 10 kilometers na lang eh LTO main na po, sana tumuloy na kayo dun. try nyo din sa mismong kinuhanan nyong agency i-renew kse me record na kyo duon.

  15. @Tsai – 2 years ago pa itong post na ito. Malamang tumaas na din singil by this time.

  16. Mga Sirs/Madams,

Nagka drivers license po ako last 2002 at nag expire last 2005. May motor na po ako ngayon and i need to renew my drivers license. Thank you..

  17. haisss… i went today (04-23-2012) at robinson metro east, but sadly they cannot renew my license as I lost my ID and thus I need to renew it at district office which is in Marikina, as all of us driver need to renew it mandatory I rush in at Marikina LTO District office even the weather is really hilarious (sobrang init amp), so easy to say I arrived there at around 10 a.m. and guess what bago ka pa lang papasok sa office ang dami ng fixers, so as I read this blog before hand, inisip ko na nagbago na talaga ang LTO, but sadly to know na sobrang talamak ang fixers dun sa MARIKINA LTO, kapag hindi ka nag fixers aabutin ka ng syam-syam imagine natapos at nakuha ko ang lisensya ko ng 5 pm, OMG!!! ok lng kung may fixers eh, eh kaso hnd mo na malaman kung sino ang LTO employee sa fixers dahil ang daming labas masok sa loob ng opisina, I want to record everything on my fone, pro kapag tlgang minamalas ka, lowbat nmn ang fone ko, kaya hindi ko na record, ipapadala ko sana sa imbestogador or sa T3 eh, para mahambalos ang mga hinayupak… buti n lng 2014 ko pa ulit renew ang lisensya ko, at hndng hnd nko mag rerenew ng lisensya sa mga district office, my cousin also told me, na kakaiba daw tlga ang bilis ng process ng LTO center sa mga mall, kaya sana hnd nila alisin ang center na yan. yun lng, kaya if ever your are all planning to renew your license or renew your registration, don’t do it at marikina, do it at main office, dahil dun kahit madaming tao tuloy tuloy ang process walang break break….

  18. @mtmtfish – natyempo ka nga bro sa init ng panahon haha! moral lesson jan – laging magdala ng tubig para nde ma-dehydrate at siguruhing full bat ang cphone bago umalis ng haus haha. thanks for sharing your experience bro 😀

  19. Hi all – would you know if LTO in Robinson’s Metroeast also accepts application for student’s license? Otherwise, where would be the next nearest LTO branch from Metroeast? What would be your tips? What are the application requirements? Thanks and hope you can help.

Thanks!! 🙂

  21. @Benj – ang sigurado ko yung advance renewal before your birthday pede, yung lost license ang hindi po ako sure kung pede sa mga mall.

  22. i already have drivers license yet gusto ko sya palitan kasi im already married na and ung sa drivers license ko is surname ko pa nung dalaga ung nakalagay.. and next yr pa maeexpired license ko.. paano ko sya mapapalitan na ung bagong surname ko na ung nakalagay??
