June is near again and its back to school for filipino youngsters. Off course most parents are already saving money for their kids this early.

Stuffs such as pencils, rulers and of course “baon” or allowance, and who knows if budget permits, some students may even use some Designer Handbags this coming school year.

Im sure that a huge percentage of fresh high school graduates would choose computer courses and more than a half of that would take nursing :).

Philippines had a lot of nursing graduates since the year 2000 and up to the present. Recent study showed that we are currently having huge unemployment among nurses here in the Philippines, indicated in the report and analysis done in 2009 that there are roughly 80,000 nurses which are unemployed. So hopefully high school graduates would take a few minutes to check out what job is currently in-demand so he/she could find a job as soon as they graduate.

Wacky Summer Job

Due to the financial meltdown the economy are experiencing. Quite a number of students are helping their parents to make both ends meet. What most of them do specially this season? They look for summer jobs. Instead of just leisuring along the beach or at the mall, they searched for temporary work that could make them save money for their coming school year.

I chanced upon this wacky group of garbage collector dressed-up as ladies (nurses and students) while doing their job – collecting garbage. Maybe they got their (uniforms) from somewhere who treat it as scrap. You know affluent homeowners throws everything, from refrigerators, queen size beds and evenĀ patio chairs if they think there’s no more use for them.
